To agree financial support for the Local Delivery 1. Sturminster Newton Town Council would be interested in Marnhull contributing
financially towards the costs of their public toilets and leisure centre,
but would not be interested in carrying out Marnhull’s Street Cleaning. 3. It was noted that NDDC will still have a legal duty to collect refuse which has been reported under the Environmental Protection Act 1990, this would normally be collected within four to twelve days. 4. Three Rivers Partnership have supplied figure to support the building of a new leisure centre in Gillingham. The cost have been estimated at £5500.00 for the first two years, which will help cover the cost for the project management. Once the leisure centre has been built, they will require £14500.00 per year to help with all running costs. They would require a commitment of this amount each year for three to five years. It was put to debate with the main concerns arising below:
After debate it was agreed to support the Street Cleansing and Sturminster Newton Leisure Centre. The following resolution was proposed and seconded.
There being no further business the meeting was closed at 8.05pm |
