The Magazine
The Marnhull Messenger is a free circulation magazine that is distributed to every household in the Parish of Marnhull 10 months of the year (ie not January and August) .It was redesigned in 2009 with the first issue being published in February 2010 on newly acquired software. It now contains between 28 and 32 pages in A4 size with about one third advertising and the remainder being notices about forthcoming events and reports from the various churches, village organisations and businesses. There is also an Annual Directory still produced in A5 with contact details covering a wide range of services in the Village and County including all the amenities, churches, schools, organisations, societies and clubs in Marnhull, plus emergency, health and transport services, local and government agencies and leisure opportunities. Additionally the new Editorial policy is to broaden the style of content so as to include features written by people in the village relating to subjects other than those presently covered omitting anything with a Political bias.

The Messenger has progressed from an A4 Anglican Church news sheet in the early 1980s, to one representing all three churches, thence to an A5 magazine in 1995 and since 2010 the A4 version we have today.

It is funded entirely by its advertising and contributions received from Village organisations. The "Parish Magazine" is seen as a valuable means of communication within the Community, which is very encouraging for the team who are responsible for bringing the Marnhull Messenger to its readers. The addition of this website is further evidence of our commitment to helping draw the Community even closer together.

The Website
The website was launched to coincide with the December 2005 issue of the Messenger magazine. The magazine itself is not put on the site but headlines and forthcoming events are. The website incorporates the Marnhull Annual Directory, so all the organisations listed in it can be found on this website.

The website does not carry advertising, at least at the moment, but we offer a link on the Links page for anybody trading in Marnhull who advertises in the Marnhull Messenger magazine, either for their website or just their email address.
